How did I know Hillary's name would come up? Someone proposed yesterday that she drives the neocons wild because she's so sexy, or some such fantasy. I say, they don't like her because she's smarter than them, twice as devious, and three or four times more manly.

Guffawing aside, still not a dime's worth of difference between the two.
Both firmly committed to globalism and multiculturalism.
Not sure which is more hilarious/sad:
-Religious conservatives who believe Bush gives 'a damn'

about their
issues.
or....
-Old lefties who think the Demopublican side of the coin actually gives
'a shit'

about the average American citizen.

You got it G. Poop. Not a dimes worth.

Bush believes in saying what he believes will help him politically-
like 99%(at least) of all other politicians.
And the man is not stupid(a piss-poor speaker, yes)-saying so
gives a pass to both him and his critics.
Of course, if we're gonna just go with stupidity, then let's also
admit that what results from our allegedly elite higher education
institutions is stupidity-the man has two Ivy League degrees. But
then we'd have to agree that nearly all of the pontifications of
the academic elite who reside there-nearly all of whom range from
liberal to radical-personify stupidity as well. And that gets rather
close to the bulk of political commentary(liberal-to-radical) on this
board as well.

Depends, shame on you! That video was a pure garbage manipulation of the
real photos. It may seem funny to some, but it also reflects the strong
religious right anti-gay sentiments.
To allude that Kerry-Edwards are gay is only a thinly disguised attempt to discredit them.
Damnation! If "they" can't come up with something better than that,
then the Bush-Cheney team is in a world of hurt!
And its also dangerous territory since Cheney's daughter is openly gay.
What is this overwhelming OBSESSION with sex in our culture?
G-d put that function into every creature on Earth, yet we as a society act
like its something dangerous and forbidden unless strictly controlled.
Tell that to the Birds and the Bees!

Depends, I have long had an admiration for Ralph Nadar.
His Consumer Advocacy and his war in that arena have been impressive.
My sentiments also align with the Libertarian view, most strongly I supprt
Rep Ron Paul who is a Republican.
But how do we, as a nation, get back to those principles?
Each President chooses the people who will run his administration. (Many people
confuse these appointees with the base of Civil Servants who actually conduct
the operationing, day to day functioning of the gov't.) The appointees of the
current administration have not shown competence and more importantly,
they have even attacked/reduced those dedicated Civil Servants that we need.
I cite the measures introduced by this administration to shift much of the gov't
functions into the private sector. I have only to recall how Halliburton was
selected to provide support services to the Military. Not only did they overcharge,
they also failed to provide the desired services. Under the old ways, the Military
prepared hot meals, decent food for their troops and they built and maintained
adequate housing for the environment. This is all gone. Halliburton was supposed
to build Quanset Huts for our troops to protect them from the environment (heat,
winds of sand blasts, etc.) They made excuses. The Military and their Civilian
Civil Service fellows would not have made excuses, it would simply be done.
The political misjudgments on the needs of support for our military have been
evident across several administrations. So, Yes, both political parties have
been at fault.
Today, we have a wild-eyed, corporate paid-for administration in control.
Step #1 is to get them out of office. Abrahms, Secy of Energy, failed to get
reelected here in MI, yet he was given that most important high post.
Tom Ridge, couldn't deal with the Drug Problem so they put him in charge of
National Security. What the hell is going on?
I strongly agee that a 3rd Party is needed, but now is not the time.
The first objective is to get those neo-cons (Repubs) out of power.
Second objective is to change the balance of power in Congress.
We are currently totally Republican: White House, Senate, House.
Few people seem to be focused on the need to change the reps of Senate/House.
In another day, I might vote for Ralph Nadar, but not this time.
The overall change required is just too serious to risk letting Bushies win again.
I have no confidence/information on who a Nadar Administation would appoint
to those key Cabinet positions, to run the top agencies of the gov't.
I have no confidence in Nadar as a person capable of international negotiations.
Please tell me what Nadar can do vs simply dumping the Bushies via Kerry.
I have never ever been so concerned about the future of my country.
Help me to understand where the "better future lies,"
Sherlock

No, no, no. Vote for Bush. Creative Destruction is coming. The end of the Empire is at hand. There is no way possible to get back to those principles(Libertarian) because they never existed. The U.S. has been an empire and has behaved like an empire since its inception. Manifest Destiny is as emperial a policy as they come. Perhaps some series of events in the future might prepare an environment where these principles can be realized. But only if you vote for Bush. A facist crackdown is the only thing that might anger and awaken people enough to overthrow the velvety chains of their pleasant, TV-addled slavery. Go Bush-Cheney. 4 MORE WARS!!!!
