It is so fricking easy to be a bull, hell the govt backstops your every trade.  The spoos might just as well be fdic insured.

Why be a bear if what you're saying is true? blink.gif

Because being a bear is about more than just trading. Being a bear is about having a moral compass, and about being outraged by the rampant corruption and moral decay we see all around us.

If these things do not bother you, you do not belong on this website.

I have invited many people to leave this website before, because they did not share in that sense of moral indignation. That feeling, the deeply held belief that the system is rotten to the core, and that it matters, is what binds the members of this site together. . .

Did anyone see South Park last night?  A school election took place where everyone had to vote for a new mascot of the school.  Shit Sandwich vs. Douchebag.  Was brilliant satire. The kid who refused to vote in the stupid election was exiled.  Hilarious.

On another topic, Kerry will be a bigger warmonger than Bush.  Like I've been saying: Good Cop, Bad Cop.  F-em both.  It would be best for both of them that they never meet me in a one on one thumbwrestling match. laugh.gif

I find the moral bankruptcy of both major political parties to be such a totally endarkening experience that I absolutely refuse to be forced into a South Park choice come this Tuesday. Instead, I'm going to vote (yes, vote) for a party and candidate, Michael Badnarik, who I believe to be most in alignment with the principles upon which this country was founded.

From its website:

The Libertarian Party is committed to America's heritage of freedom:
> individual liberty and personal responsibility
> a free-market economy of abundance and prosperity
> a foreign policy of non-intervention, peace, and free trade.

From their Trade and the Economy part of their platform:

We believe that each person has the right to offer goods and services to others on the free market. Therefore we oppose all intervention by government into the area of economics. The only proper role of existing governments in the economic realm is to protect property rights, adjudicate disputes, and provide a legal framework in which voluntary trade is protected.

Efforts to forcibly redistribute wealth or forcibly manage trade are intolerable. Government manipulation of the economy . . .

To those of you who are as disgusted as I am over the choice being offered us by the major parties this Tuesday please take the time to explore the website in depth. And if, like me, you also believe that this indeed is a breath of fresh air then please forward the information to those of your friends and other contacts who you feel would at least consider this alternative.
