Gold stocks significantly underperformed the price of gold last week, not a good sign. http://dvtechtalk.com/April/April18.htm

3 days left.... over and out.... er, actually I'm not in yet...

Looking for a significant bounce this week.

No telling whether this minor wave v of C is over, but it can count complete at this point.

I read that - interesting take on the Rand. If this guy is right then Droopy is a screaming buy.

Did Thor say that we couldn't claim about a manipulated market? sad.gif

alright.. When or IF this bleeding stops, and IF the metals actually are still in a bull, anyone care to venture their favorite picks for the train ride north, should it becomes a bullet train as some suggest ?

I'll say, SSRI, PAL, HL and WTZ

Still like KRY and GRS, but of the ones you name I'd bet on SSRI

BTW - the bleeding's gonna stop sometime Hadj - I just don't know if I'll have any $ left when it does. sad.gif

I wanna complain about manipulation in the gold market.

Hadj -
Do you fully understand the relationship between GBN and HL and why GBN is taking the brunt of the selling on this uncertainty?

Hadjin
Habits ... I used to hold a ton of both GBN and HL, but have lightened up considerably on the GBN part. Seems GBN needs the income for feasibility studies there and elsewhere in their land holdings, as they have none; HL is a revenue producing operator already. So, it makes sense, but I was unaware they had this dispute. GBN sits on huge Silver lands.

I think GBN is a nice play, but..damn, I'm way underwater on my holdings with it at .94 today. ughhh
Hadjin
Habits.. that GBN story has eyes now, because the stock is down 12 cents to .85.. geesh..

if one goes back and looks @past bull moves in gold/pms they all have this characteristic. ie. they get the tar knocked out of em on corrections. until we get into the run, parabolic. this will be the nature of this market. when the run will begin is anyones guess. but when it occurs, every time something is sold, one will buy it back for more $$ dharma
on an hourly chart this is a bottom. on the daily, not so sure yet.

"But those government workers did retire with full pensions and lifetime benefits"

Either someone is getting GBN very cheap or I'm holding the bag here. Believe it or not I'm contemplating swapping some GBN for some DROOPY.

Maybe Mackenzie has it right. He's got a good article over on Gold Eagle.
Without question - if certain entities want they can take these small miners i.e. CBJ, GBN, DROOY, down hard and shake out some holders to pick up shares on the cheap. The trick is figuring out which company is not being manipulated and is really in dire straits.

Speaking of manipulation....... if the $ was up as much as it is down today gold would be down at least $5
I really hope these bastards get their due. Had to say it. tongue.gif

Exactly what we have been sitting here for three months waiting for.

Actually I think the word I used was "cry". As in don't cry about the rigged casino but learn how to exploit it or leave it. Makes sense. Leave the complaining to the newsletter writers and you can note their complaints for formulating your strategy.

PMS Timeliness. Well here's what I've hit upon. For long-term timeliness, I like:

$HUI:$XAU. This one is excellent. Using a simple EMA(50):EMA(200) cross-over system this has given the following trades this millenium. Buy gold share in late Feb 2001 then sell them in mid Feb 2005. That's a 4 year bull market and a nice trade with a profit defined by a move in $HUI from 50 to 210. For the charts try DrAu's Pubic Fart Lisp.

Short term I have a construct of 51 PMS shares which currently have 0 shares short-term bullish.

So however you slice it, LT or ST there is no reason to buy.

Remember bottom-pickers generally just end up with smelly fingers. tongue.gif
Ander
So, is this the bottom? Its like, the third time I've thought we've seen one...
ThorAss
When we are all sure it isn't it will be. Otherwise wait a day or 2 after a Goldman Sachs downgrade of the sector.

Yep, Trader.

Here's the dollar count. Looks like a completed flat correction. A 3-3-5 pattern with very significant Stochastic negative divergence and and modest MACD divergence.

This could be the start of something big.
bearvest
HUI:

Here's my long term count.

I can't rule out a decline to 170. At 155, I'm wrong.

But as I posted last night, we have a potentially completed pattern on both XAU and HUI.
