How long does it take for military force to take over?
I have been hearing of bands of militant people looting nursing homes.
Is our government prepared?
NO.
Since 911, nothning has changed.
There is no order, and anarchy rules. If I was there, and I had to feed and protect my family, I would be getting food and water anywhere I could find it.
Where has the money gone?
IRAQ?
They were supposed to finance the occupation with the oil revenue, ocording to Paul Bremer. I am done. This is unbeilievable. Where is the N. Gaurd? IRAQ!!
The coutry will suffer, all of us.

No Einstein
quote from Doc
The stupidity, incompetence, callousness, and ineptitude of the Bush administration is being laid bare for the American people to see. If the government does not achieve a semblance of control here quickly, public uneasiness will grow, ................... http://wallstreetexminer.com

If this doesn't unite the African American community against the Republican party, nothing will. If these were middle class pretty white people they would all be out of there. I am amazed Jesse Jackson isn't all over this.

Here is another one for you to contemplate:

Just got off the phone with our trucking outfit.
They are currently charging 28% for fuel surcharge. Next week it will be 39%.
He is not worried about fuel cost, he is worried about availability.
What happens when diesel fuel is unavailable? He told me that in the southeast, availability at some places is nil. Out here in the west, availability is pretty good, (right now). When they start shipping fuel to the east, then we all suffer some more. Suffering and more suffering. It will end up as higher prices for everything.

Just some "Food for thought" if you can get it.

How qualified was the FEMA director? Try Zilch! I am sorry that I didn't bookmark an earlier article that I read outlining how inept Fema was during the Florida hurricanes last year and the people pointing out that the new department heads were political appointees and not qualified for their posts. Here's your new guys credentials. You won't believe it! And why aren't the media focusing on this like a lazer?

Talk about horseshit!

Based on a quick read of the Fema Statutes, it looks like Bush is doing the audit outside his authority. I consider Katrina: 9-11, Part Deux.

Here is how a real relief operation could be done, but for the Commander In Excuse [CIE].

The clamp down on the media in New Orleans ["we can't show dead bodies"] is an excuse to censor the media, which the White House hopes to control, as it has done in Iraq.

What else doesn't the CIE and White House want the media to find out in re Katrina/New Orleans? I'd like to see images of the levees to see if there were deliberate efforts to weaken them.

Putting that possibility aside, FEMA statutes clearly state the President has a role in all mitigation plans: What New Orleans did/didn't do has already been, or should have been, fully coordinated with the President as a condition of his subsequent assistance . . . which he provided before the hurricane hit.

The problem the President has is DHS did an audit earlier this year of the local efforts, outlining the management/internal control problems; Bush, despite being in a position to be aware of these issues and/or exercise some input into their mitigation plans, either knew of the report, or failed to exercise the requisite oversight before concurring with the mitigation plans.

Affecting the information flow and conducting a self-audit are SAS 99 indicators, which the FEMA audit is supposed to consider: See item (a)(7) { 31 USC 7501 (a)(7) }. The current "CIE approach" may amount to an impeachable offense, (see Section 314, part "C").

Looks like White House wants to treat Americans just like the Iraqis: In the dark, running in circles, and chasing the wrong problem. They're treating Americans like . . . stockholders! tongue.gif

Here is the Neu Woild Odors spokesman talking directly to you, in your face-but you probably didn't get it at the time. Perhaps now you will before it is to late...

"Today Americans would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order; tomorrow they will be grateful. This is especially true if they were told there was an outside threat from beyond, whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead with world leaders to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well being granted to them by their world government."
- Henry Kissinger speaking at Evian, France, May 21, 1992

Fema had calculated the 3 biggest risks facing the United States. Two have transpired, and the third is still "out there".

Bush government refuses to see the big picture...Headline reads...

Now the Pentagon tells Bush: climate change will destroy us

"Symons, who left the EPA in protest at political interference, said that the suppression of the report was a further instance of the White House trying to bury evidence of climate change. 'It is yet another example of why this government should stop burying its head in the sand on this issue.'

Symons said the Bush administration's close links to high-powered energy and oil companies was vital in understanding why climate change was received sceptically in the Oval Office. 'This administration is ignoring the evidence in order to placate a handful of large energy and oil companies,' he added."

Congressional Research Service [CRS] reports Louisiana Governor did all she was supposed to do.

Katrina Timeline of major events, and Fox misses key events, at heart of dispute.

Apparently Bush hopes to maintain popularity with illusions. Congressman John Conyers reports RNC through the WashingtonPost is distracting attention with false arguments and "blatant falsehoods".

The White House reminds us of their strategy: When you have no facts, create fiction.

New Orleans has become a waterlogged toxic dump, that is floating above a buried toxic dump. That's a lot of toxins...
