Is anybody else totally sickened by how many terrible shots are thrown up on the 16th hole at Halmstad this year during the Solheim Cup.
It seems as though every time I see a tee shot on that par three it's heading 20 yards right into the trees, falling short into the creek, or just barely clearing the creek. Why don't these players get their stuff together and start aiming left and hitting more club.
Is there something I'm missing here or are these players just incapable of adapting to scrape by with par on that hole?

I thought the same thing this morning. Dottie said it was hard to make yourself aim at a bunker. Well, it better than the creek.

I suppose weather conditions have nothing to do with it.

None whatsoever. The cold and wet and winds that the players can't feel from the tee box, but are swirling around the green with gusts up to 30 mph have had no effect.

The conditions didn't look good at all and I think it has more of an general effect on the girls than the men who blast their way around. Well done US team! Strong performance in the singles.

And that beautiful shot was her 4th or 5th try in 3 days! The conditions were brutal, the pressure intense, etc. I was amazed and awed by the ability of everyone to recover from almost anywhere. It was just great golf all around. Congrats to both sides.
