2008 TM Tour Issued TP Forged irons. These are so new that they have only probably a handful of set on tour. Back cavity looks very much like the Japanese release r7 Forged irons mixed with a touch of the TM 2005 TP CB irons. Nice leading edge grind and minimal offset. Faces are micro milled. These irons also have a high toe profile. Forging as far as I can tell is real soft.
Forged is back!!!

Will Taylor Made ever make a "real" muscle back again? Certainly doesn't look like it. As far as looks they seemed to have peaked with the 300 series and RAC CBs. Gaudy paint jobs and ribs in the cavity seem to be de rigor.

Ditto. And I really don't care for the Red/Yellow paintfill in the TP on the back. That would be changed immediately...

From a looks standpoint, they definitely haven't imporoved on the Satin 05 CB in my opinion. The milling on the face is rather cool though, just like my old Miura 05 CB's.

Awesome. Similar to the R7 Forged I play now. When are these being released, I want them?
Also, didn't TMAG say in their interview on here that they weren't going to make a forged iron, because they didn't need to?

Do they really need 2 TP logo markings on the back of the club? Typical Taylormade product.....does it really mateer what they come out with? they will have a new line in 6 months....and then flood the market a year later with old TP irons just like they did with the 04 CBs and are now doing with the 05 Rac CBs.....there is a reason that Taylormade is the least respected OEM in the market place!

I think they look very nice and I love the milling marks. It would NOT surprise me one bit if they do NOT ever release them.
Taylor Made is also notorious for TOUR only release and hell with the people that really pay their bills.
Can you imagine how many of us would buy these if they came with the mill marks and tour specs!
I would stand in line!

Great pics, Richard

Thankxxxxx a lot for them

Don't particular like the red/orange TP symbol, but other than that, the iron head looks great.
Now here comes the question, I'll always ask, when seeing a new forged iron:
Which plant forged and finished it

Look good, if a bit 'busy' as others have said. However, regarding any retail offering, they need to make the forging a bit softer, those 'coin forged' irons were as hard as diamonds. The newer TP MB were a step in the right direction, but still a bit firm for my tastes.
Thats what is needed to tempt good players away from mizunos/titleists - the design is there, just need a softer feel.

They need to make a TRUE blade and put it back in there arsenal like the 04 rac MB's.

Those look pretty nice. Thanks for the scoop. It goes without saying though that I'll be holding out for the "extra soft" version with "tour CG". Sure it'll cost me 'bout $2000+ for a set of heads but, I have a funny feeling that there will only be around 15 sets in the entire universe so it will be well worth it!

they are they should be a hit-
I have no idea even where the R7 Forged are forged and could care less..

TM is flooding the market with 05 RAC CBs???? Even if that was true, who cares, its almost 2008.
TM is not the least respected OEM in the market place. That may be your opinion, but it is completely without merit.
I don't understand why anyone cares how often TM releases product. Sure, if you own a shop you have to plan inventory a little more carefully, but for the end user, how is this a problem? As if it impacts your game where it counts the most....on the course?!?!?
Be positive this website can provide you with the latest product info. It's interesting news and photos, that's all, no need to bash TM.

I agree with Madball.
If these new TP Forged irons are as good as the R7 Forged, they will be well-received in the marketplace and in a lot of bags. Once I found out how good the R7 Forged irons perform for me, I haven't given serious consideration to another set of irons.
My iron pilgrimage was long, enjoyable sometimes but always ultimately frustrating. The R7 Forged turned out to be the set for which I have been looking.

R7 japan with a twist on looks to me. R7 forged had a dead feeling.
Thanks for the cool pictures and while the irons look cool I also will have to say they wont perform as good as they look. I had a set of R7 tp forged from Japan. While they looked good the cavity was so big with out steel it made the head feel poor. There was a lack of a "solid" feeling you normally get with forged heads. These look to be the same head with different badging. I will bet they wont be half as good as their older generation forged cb's. 300 series or the RAC cb's.

Really? Strange the R7 Japan irons felt dead......I have tried them all, and they are the best low-offset, forged, cavity's out there IMO......I guess to each their own. I think Taylor Made will dominate if they will release these.
Can someone confirm they will release? I need to order a set ASAP!!!!
From an aesthestics point of few....lose the TP emblem, keep the TP engraving and make it a solid color....or dont color it at all (which wouldn't do well for retail....but would be how they looked after I bought them!)

I'll take that R7 Forged "dead" feeling every day of the week!
These appear to be very similar--and if they are released over here,
contrary to the Japan Limited which apparantly not many have ever seen
in person-let alone tried, they will be a BIG hit..

If these are released....don't look for a replacement soon. TMAG has a hit with these and I expect these to be THE irons to buy for quite some time. Yes, TMAG is quick to make changes to their line-up....but would guess it would only be cosmetic after they release these bad boys and rule iron sales when compared to any other company.
We are getting ready to see an iron that needs no replacing/upgrades over time.
