got this from mizuno usa. best I could do. also the titleist web site has him listed playing the pro v1.CONGRATULATIONS BRIAN ON YOUR FIRST PGA TOUR WIN! With a lead going into the final round, Brian Gay relied on his combo set of Mizuno MX and MP irons, Mizuno CLK FLI-HI Hybrid and Mizuno Bettinardi C Series putter to hold off all challengers at the Mayakoba Golf Classic. Brian just put a new Mizuno Bettinardi precision milled putter in his bag this month, and after only three tournaments he finds himself breaking through to taste victory for the first time. Trust Mizuno for serious performance.

Ylisaju
His long irons are MX 900,middle irons are MP30 and short irons are MP32.You see alot of blended sets nowadays...

Don't you think the Mizuno press release above would have said that if he was playing it? I believe he had a TM driver, but I am not completely sure of the model.

Also, as noted above, he was playing an Exotics CB2 fairway wood.

Brian is starting to work with a teacher from my area, Jeff Evans. Jeff also created a teaching aid that Brian fell in love with (www.pbstriker.com). I might be able to talk with him one day and if I do, ill be sure to try and get some pics of his stuff or at least go into more detail about his setup.

This is what i think the future setups will look like
and should be the standard for all amatures.

I do prefer a 2 hybrid with 5 wood lenght.

Great find!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NXT ME
I am surprised he can hit the 900's in the 3-5 having as much offset as they do; maybe it's just me. I had to replace mine with something with less offset.
iamit
I agree to much of a gap between his three and hybrid. I myself am looking at finding a 2-hybrid for that very reason.

Jeff Evans
This is Jeff Evans brand ambassador with Mizuno Golf. I spent time with Brian inside the ropes at the FBR Open in PHX. Brian was in the process of moving the Bettinardi putter into the bag and he did. He does have the MX-900 in the 3 & 4 irons, the MP-60 5-8 iron, and MP-32 9-P. He said the head size of the 32's are smaller and he like that. His testing different MP-600's. I also, ran in to Brian and his agent at API at Bay Hill. The dowels are for alignment training TGMers know what they are for. Lynn Blake has trained Brian for over 2 years and to just set the record straight I do not teach Brian Gay I just received the O.K. from Lynn Blake to put my new training device in his hand. Brian understand this device and likes the product. I do not teach Brian that is Lynn Blakes Job and he is one of the best just look at his stable of players on the PGA and Nationwide Tours.

Welcome to GolfWRX, Jeff. welcomeani.gif

You might consider starting a Mizuno Golf Equipments FAQs thread for the membership. Mizuno is a popular brand here.

Lynn has done some very fine work with Brian and quite a few other touring pros. His results over a relatively short time period are pretty darn impressive.
