I was at Loch Lomond today , and as usual it was wet .....! .

Anyway , there seemed a bit of interest in Angel Cabrera's irons .

I am not a Ping man , so I had no idea , but I thought of you Guys .

Sorry about the glare on that Ben Hogan wedge , but I remember looking at it , and it read Ben Hogan , Riviera .

The Ping Irons read S58 .

Interestingly the irons are 1 degree flat and he's a big guy, at least 6 foot 1, I would say. Guess he has long arms

O.k, i'm going to start the speculation about what he was using this week.

Here's what I think I know:

Driver: Ping Rapture 7.5
Fairway: ? (possibly Sonartec)
Hybrid: Nickent 3DX Ironwood (I think it's 17.5*)
3-PW: Ping S58 DG X100
Wedges: Titleist Vokey Special Grind (I think they're 54 & 60 and I also think they're oil can but they could be raw)
Putter: Ping Redwood Anser (black finish)

I also think that his driver, three wood and hybrid all have Aldila Protopype's in them. I presume they're all X flex but I don't know about the weight.

Thoses specs sound accurate to me...

Being relatively the same height and also with long arms, my irons were also fitted to me 1 degree flat. Now if I could only find a way to pound the ball 397yds off the tee!! bb.gif biggrin.gif

i think he plays 80 gram xstiff in 3 wood and driver and the lobrid 95 x in the hybrid. he plays 7.0 rifle shafts in his irons

isnt his three wood a ping tisi or something like that

Yeah, since my last post I found out that his 3 wood is a 14* Ping TiSi.

He used to use 7.0's but I think he's using X100's now mate.

Anyone got a definate answer on his wedges? I'm sure they're Vokey Special Grind Oil Can 54* & 60* but if anyone knows any more that would be great.

Found the answer!

Angel Cabrera's bag from the U.S Open

Driver: Ping Rapture 7.5°
Fairway Wood: Ping TiSI Tec 14°
Hybrid: Nickent 3DX DC ironwood 17°
Irons: Ping S58 Irons (3-9, Pw) Rifle 7.0 shaft
SW: Titleist Vokey spin milled 54°
LW: Titleist Vokey prototype 60°
Putter: Ping Redwood Anser
Ball: Titleist Pro V1x

tmac7592, you were right about the Rifle's. I'm still convinced I saw steps in his shaft but i'm obviously wrong.
