Great looking irons, I always loved the double D on his clubs.

Those are better looking than the double 8 on his score cards.

I would say about the same, I don't remember the last 8 I made. A couple years ago I think I could take him especially when he had vertigo. In 1980-2002 I didn't stand a chance.

Cool, thanks. I know he has been using his pro plat circa62 most of the season, but in more recent events I've seen him with a Rife and a Unitized during practice rounds.

You know David contact with Nike is up at the end of the year and im not sure they are very anxious to reup with him...especially not at 5 for 50 like his current deal.

Ouch, 5 for 50? Is that what he's getting?
Its a shame about his game but he has plugged the Nike brand pretty good, especially when he won The Open.

Is his contract up at the end of this year or not? I hope he stays put because his game is starting to come back. He does not need to change equipment now.

It is good to see that "Double D" is getting his game back. IMO, he is a very classy individual. He has carried himself very well (in great times and not so great times). I don't care what equipment he plays as long as it allows him to get to where he needs to be...(at the top).

BTW, those Nike irons in his bag look a lot like the old Titleist 962B's he played way back when he was in the top 3.

he has a great relationship with nike and they are supposed to keep him around. I am disappointed in his choice of 3 metal. I palyed with him in myrtle and he had the old s2h2 in the bag. THat is such a fun club

I think I remember reading somewhere that his deal was expiring after the '05 season, which he ended rather strongly, and he resigned for 3 or 4 more years, but I could be completely wrong...he does have a great relationship with Nike, and I'm glad to see him packin' on the old L-B's to bulk up to his "proper playing weight" (as if he was in the NFL...)
