Thanks for the great pics mate.
Is that Els' 2-Ball? Never thought i'd see that!
Do you know if that's a Macgregor V-Foil Tour wedge in Langer's bag? (behind the 588)
Never quite understood why he uses those raw Apex blade long irons and cavity back short irons but each to their own I suppose. Not the typical idea of a combo-set though.
Langers wedge: I followed him 36 holes and on the range and I THINK yes, it's a MacGregor wedge. The color seems reddish and the logo is at the right place. There is, however, the possibility that he's using a Adams Puglielli Wedge which has the Logo at the very same spot. He uses lead tape behind the sweetspot so you can only judge by that logo. I'm not 100% sure because the SHAPE of the wedge is not a V-Foil double bounce like their lob wedge, it's just one bulge, which they have in the Tour Forged 56° sand wedge.
The Apex blades: He uses them in the 3- and 4- irons, they look pretty old & rusty. He did, however, manage a ~200m shot from the fairway bunker to 1m next to the pin

and I think if that's what he is capable of then he might be right using them. He hooked them twice on the first day, one of these shots ran back into the water - but that was the day when he couldn't move his neck properly.
Ernie Els didn't use a 2-ball, it's an Odyssey putter but I don't know their models well enough. It's a mallet, see below.
BTW his driver shaft is a Matrix Xcon 7, is that right?!
OB
Thanks mate.
Don't know much about Matrix shafts but i'm reliably informed that his driver shaft is an Xcon 7. Didn't think i'd ever see him not use a Fuji 757!
I think Langer uses the Apex blade 5 iron as well but i'm not sure if it's raw or not.
I ask this question everytime I see new pics of him but does anyone know what shoes he's wearing?!
