Bill Haas has a special set up from Titleist. These 755 irons are not the ones sold down the street. The retail versions are stainless and have a satin finish, while Bill's 755's are carbon forged and chromed with a black insert instead of the red. I have heard the grooves are v grooves also. Here are some great Pics from the Buick Open 2007...

I didn't want to look stupid and ask why it was like that. Thanks for clearing it up mate.
That's what a set of irons should look like by the way. Clean but well worn.

I think it's time Titleist brings those carbon forged chrome 755's.

His Dad plays the same irons. Saw them in his bag last weekend at the Bank of America Championship. Most of the other Titleist Staff was using the regular 755's.

yeah great swing...but who's that guy?! darn fine specimen that guy is.
those irons looks similar to a patent that titleist received awhile back. hmmmmmmmmmm...the titleist rep from colonial country club mentioned to me something stellar in the iron category coming.

Thanks for the cool pics and the wedge stamp clairification.
The black badge 755s have been around on tour as long as the red badge from what I have seen. Titleist may have been considering releasing the irons as they did both ways with the 735.CM. I believe the red badge have been more popular on tour thus the release to retail. Also making the black badge more a more desirable 'TOUR ONLY' release. From the close ups the irons appear to be U grooves not V.

I also found that pretty funny about the wedge. His other wedge is stamped "Harlan" - his middle name. Also just recently switched to a napa valley from a newport style circle t putter.
Definately one of he nicest guys out there with a ton of talent as well.

The guy next to him in the early pictures is Henry Diana Jr. (Bill's Caddie), a great player in his own right. Played at Alabama and was a great junior player in Ohio. He can really play, one of the best putters you will ever see. Good to see a picture of him.

I like the Black 755 insert but still prefer the satin version over the chrome.
